About

Brenna O’Sullivan, LCPC, CRC

  • I believe that all people are doing the best they can with the resources they have at the time. A good therapeutic fit could be just the resource you need to take your growth or healing into a new phase. Finding the right therapist can be a challenge, and I’m honored you are considering connecting with me.

I became a therapist with a professional background in the fields of education, child welfare, and disability services. As a certified yoga teacher, I emphasize mind-body approaches to wellness and am excited to support interested clients with developing self-insight through practices like mindful movement and meditation.

I have lived experience growing up in a Neurodiverse and LGBTQ-inclusive family, and I’m passionate about working from a social justice orientation that acknowledges forces of oppression that impact our lives. I make a point to participate in community actions and vote for political candidates who support things like the protection of reproductive rights, the LGBTQ community, and science-based public health policy.

I also believe in the healing power of time in nature and play. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me hiking and camping with my rescue dog, Tumbledown, and jumping in the ocean as often as possible.

  • I am committed to creating an empowering space for you to tap into the tools, values, and beliefs already within you to help you thrive. I am especially passionate about holding space for Gen Z’ers, Neurodivergent folks or those exploring diagnoses, and those healing from challenging family dynamics. As a holistic therapist, I will tailor our work together to your strengths, needs, and goals. I most commonly incorporate concepts and interventions from approaches like: Attachment-focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (AF-EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, Gestalt therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based, and Person-centered therapy.

Intentional healing and growth can be hard work, but shouldn’t feel overwhelming or  scary. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe for you, and make sure we’re spending plenty of time celebrating wins and laughing at life’s absurdities. Therapy can be fun at times, too!

Ultimately, YOU are the expert on your life. My role is to support and strengthen the work you are already doing, sharing new tools and resources with you along the way that could get you closer to your most authentic, joyful life. If you’d like to learn more about how I can help, let’s connect.
